Assistants

Jessie

Jessie

Administrative Assistant & Bookkeeper

Part administrative assistant, part bookkeeper, part emotional translator for anyone who’s ever loved an animal, Jessie is a calm, smiling presence at the front desk, and is always happy to greet both people and pets.

Jessie joined the Parkland team in 2024. She was drawn to the world of veterinary care by her love of animals and people alike. But what really fuels her work is connection, the kind she first learned from her Boston terrier, Maya. “She was my shadow,” Jessie says. “Loving her showed me how pets teach us, comfort us, and make us feel at home.” That bond inspired her to help others honor the same deep relationship with their own pets.

Born and raised in Red Deer, Jessie grew up surrounded by a supportive family, who filled her life with love and creative hobbies, such as occasional craft nights featuring candles, cards, and laughter. At home, she shares life with Clover, a pocket-sized mini Aussie who believes giving cuddles should be Jessie’s full-time career, and Eeyore, a stocky Boston terrier who snores like a tiny motorcycle.

Beyond her administrative expertise, Jessie’s compassion extends into her community work. She founded Petals of Passing, a project that hosts Death Cafés and gentle grief-education workshops. This allows her to combine her end-of-life doula training, which she received at Rhodes Wellness College in 2025, with her passion for heart-led communication.

At Parkland Veterinary Hospital, Jessie finds joy in being the calm bridge between anxious pet parents and the veterinary team. Whether it’s turning medical-ese language into kind, clear words or making sure the books balance perfectly (“Good ledger!” is a favorite quip), Jessie brings grace, kindness, and compassion to every detail of her work.

Noah

Noah

He can generally be found in the operating room and attending to kennels, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and comfort for our patients and supporting the rest of the staff. Noah plans to begin a Veterinary Technical Assistant (VTA) Certificate from Olds College to enhance his abilities at PVH

In his free time, Noah can often be found reading, baking and playing games with friends and family. Noah’s time is also spent largely taking care of (and keeping out of trouble) his cat Sylvie, as well as his family’s dogs and cats.
